Yes! Portishead Is Back!

According to the Village Voice, Portishead is bizzack!
I love this band! I was first introduced to Portishead via a mix tape, it was in the early 90's after all, the tape came with no label or track titles. The song Glory Box was this amazingly haunting love song sung by this woman with a child-like innocence. I racked my brain and my friends brains to find out what this was!
What is was was Electronica. The gorgeous child-like voice belonged to Beth Gibbons and the song was the lead single from the groups 1994 major label debut Dummy. Two CD's have followed, one being a live set, and Beth released a solo CD Out of Season in 2002.
Portishead will release their third CD appropriately titled Third later this month on April 29th. Check out the new single Machine Gun!

Mariah's on Oprah Today!

I used to be a die-hard Oprah Winfrey fan until about 2 years ago when she spoke down to Amy Fisher but backed up Amber Frey, a grown woman having an affair with convicted murderer Scott Peterson.
I began to see that she was a woman with her own bias and that I too had my own thoughts and no longer need Lady O. to help me direct my life. Since then I rarely watch the show; I did catch Heidi Klum & Seal on the show recently and Lady O. seemed slightly rude and short with Heidi while oozing all kinds of compliments to Seal. I love Heidi Klum, I also love when black men have black women on their arm and thus I get the rudeness. But don't invite the two on and give all your attention to just one.
That being said, Mariah's on Oprah today!

Join me...Let's create something beautiful!

Backless Bra

Have you seen this? Maidenform is about to release the first ever Breakthrough Backless Bra. I am always trying to leave the house half-naked but it can look tacky without the proper under garment and wearing a blouse with the back out adds a sexiness they never see coming; and is a memorable sight once you've left the scene.
Of course designers have already prepared their own versions starting from $29.95.
Summer is gonna rock!

Read, reflect, get it in you and let's all do better.
The first is my favorite....at this time in my life I am walking by faith alone. I am working on the second quote.
Red. D.

Faith is taking the first step, even when you don't see the whole staircase.
Martin Luther King Jr.

Hatred paralyzes life; love releases it. Hatred confuses life; love harmonizes it. Hatred darkens life; love illuminates it.
Martin Luther King Jr.

It may be true that the law cannot make a man love me, but it can stop him from lynching me, and I think that's pretty important.

Martin Luther King Jr.

Our scientific power has outrun our spiritual power. We have guided missiles and misguided men.

Martin Luther King Jr.

The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.

Martin Luther King Jr.

Now, I say to you today my friends, even though we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow, I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the American dream. I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: - 'We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal.

I submit to you that if a man hasn't discovered something he will die for, he isn't fit to live.

...And I've looked over, and I've seen the promised land. I may not get there with you, but I want you to know tonight that we as a people will get to the promised land. So I'm happy tonight. I'm not worried about anything. I'm not fearing any man.

Madonna, the Leo, always canvasses the music landscape to see who are the hot players at the time to produce her music. She has now turned to Timberland for her lead video '4 Minutes' off of her CD Hard Candy, due in the US on April 29Th. I am down on Leo's of late. They are fun but some get in your business in an effort to play on your ego to get what they want. I see through you and have become bored with your though process. Oooh my, lol, well onto the vid!
