According to Yahoo.com, Laurence Fishburne is set to take over when main CSI star William Petersen says goodbye and exits the cast, but still remaining as executive producer of the show.
After NYPD Blue went off the air, Cop drama's don't interest me much. Maybe now I'll tune in.

I think he is diversifying. He has been staring in Thurgood, at the Booth Theatre on Broadway.
