How To-->> Wine Freshness

Lol, I didn't know what to call this post but that's what I needed to know. If the box of wine that I was drinking was fresh. Well you know me, it's off to Google searching I go. I found that air oxidizes wine and makes it undrinkable after a day, maybe 2 for reds and barely overnight for whites. The object seems to be to vacuum out the air from your bottle using various methods from rubber clad stoppers, to vacuum machines; even throwing it in the freezer. But a boxed wine is different. the spout keeps air out allowing your wine to stay fresh for weeks.


And yes I said "box of wine". Last summer, while on my way to a summer concert in a park-like setting, I stopped into a wine shop and found a super-cute box of Pinot Grigio from Three Thieves vineyard in Calfornia; priced at a cool 10 bucks. The website states that the box is

easy-to-open, and resealable cap means your wine is always fresh.

So I'm gonna sit here, on this rainy Friday evening, and enjoy my week old box of wine **Muah**

Oh no, Dixie Carter has passed away. I loved her on "Designing Women", about four feisty Southern belles and there hilarious, ex-con assistant. But she was also an accomplished Broadway actress and dancer. It really seemed like she was a classy dame. I like that.

I don't understand a person who offers friendship while telling you of all the ways you need to change or better yet while being deceitful. I need protection. Have my back. I don't understand, do I have to be extra and drama filled to get some loyalty up in here?

While pondering this I log into my Yahoo! account and an article entitled
"6 Signs your in a healthy relationship", is on the homepage big as day. in any relationship the first trait is Loyalty. Huh. imagine that. There are 5 other characteristics. Log on and get right.

In Memory of -->>Christopher Wallace

Biggie. I loved him. Still do. I live in Brooklyn cause of him. Swagger, style & rhymes.

I was living in L.A. a mere few miles up Wilshire Blvd. from the auto museum where Biggie was shot and killed. I awoke on a Sunday to here the horrible news. Never before had a rapper had such an affect on me. I mean, I loved De La Soul and Leaders of the New School and others but never like my love for this man. He was real but fun. I like that in my thugs I guess. Those qualities reside in me as well. I don't know. It sucks. Music was never more fun than from 1988 to March 9, 1997. He was 24.

Greek Yogurt

I'm trying to do better. Better everything; starting with eating more nutritious meals. This morning I drudged through the snow to get provisions, and spied The Greek Gods Greek yogurt in the dairy isle. It seems to be the new designer food. I love new snacks so I chose the Pomegranate. Interesting taste & texture. I had no problems with regular yogurt, so whatever. It's all good. I'll add some Granola to it and be good to go!

No Pants Subway Day!

I admit it, I did it!

So every year for the past eight years, folks from around the globe have gotten together to take their pants off on a subway car in the name of art, brought to you by Improv Everywhere in 28 degree weather. It was fun but exhausting. Ton's of mouths were on the floor and some subway riders were downright outraged! Oh well; see ya next year;-)
